Colors Healthcare understands that recovering from surgery, illness or injury can take time. Everyone feels relieved when a loved one returns from a stay at the hospital. Things often seem as they are returning to normal. However, shortened hospital stays often lead to a longer period of care and recovery at home. You or your loved one will probably not be able to go back to your normal routine right away.

Colors Healthcare Recuperative Care Services are put in place to help you heal with utmost care. During the time of recovery, Colors Healthcare can be your primary Caregiver for all non-medical needs or supplement care from therapists, family members of other aides, providing you with that little extra help while you or your loved ones are recuperating. This care can be as little as few hours a day helping with bathing, food preparation and transportation or errands or as great as 24 hour care. We work with the client and the client’s family to develop the appropriate home care plan.
Our Recuperative Care Services include, but are not limited to:

- Assistance with toileting and continence
- Providing companionship and conversation
- Helping start and end the day (getting out of and into bed, dressing)
- Assistance with a safe bathing environment

- Preparing meals and assistance with feeding

Our Caregivers are warm, compassionate and caring with experience and training to provide quality care to our clients. Our caregivers are OUR employees who are dependable and trustworthy selected through rigorous hiring practices in which all applicants go through tests and screenings focusing on skills, experience, attitudes and placement into homes. All our caregivers are covered by workers compensation, bonded and insured.
Our caregivers are supervised by a registered nurse, who makes regular home visits to ensure the health and safety of our clients.
Many of staff members have extensive experience caring for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.
