Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) refer to daily self-care activities within an individual’s place of residence, in outdoor environments, or both. ADLs are defined as “the things we normally do…such as feeding ourselves, bathing, dressing, grooming, work, homemaking, and leisure.

Often, patients realize that their illness, injury, or medical condition restricts activity in their daily lives, making living alone too difficult. This may simply occur as part of the aging process as well.

Colors Healthcare provides tailored services to meet individual needs while promoting independence in the home. We understand the difficulties that a family faces when a loved one is unable to perform basic daily living tasks without assistance, such as dressing, eating, or climbing the stairs on their own.
